Hope Enough For You
My boat was sinking
steadily,
And darkness I could only see.
The sea was rough; the waves were high,
And lightning streaked across the sky.
And then at last I saw
the light,
When I had prayed throughout the night.
Christ calmed the troubled seas of life,
And then I knew I'd won the strife.
Sometimes the seas are
rough and wild,
But I'll not fear, for I'm His child.
E'en though the sky be darkened too,
I know He'll guide me safely through.
When He at last shall
take me home,
From this old world, no more to roam,
I'll sing the song of saving grace,
To Him who saved the human race.
So if your boat is
sinking too,
My friend there's hope enough for you.
Just call on Him who for you died,
And then you'll be at rest inside.
